The Japanese Popstars

The Japanese Popstars is an electronic music/DJ trio from Derry, Northern Ireland that has grown in stature to become one of the UK's premier live electronic music acts. Garnering several awards for its one-of-a-kind house and electronica productions, perhaps The Japanese Popstars' most substantial accolade thus far was being voted the "Best Breakthrough Producers" at DJ Magazine's "Best of British 2008" awards. Indeed, the runaway success of this Derry trio shows no sign of slowing down, more than evidenced by Nike recently issuing a brand new line of trainers in honor of the band called JAPSTARS01, using the group's colloquial nickname for the brand's name.
