It's slightly strange to think how subjective musical tastes are. Some educated individuals opt to listen to heavy metal all day, while other learned folks like to listen to electronic music. It's kinda impossible to say that either style of music is band, because someone is enjoying it - and if the person is smart then it lends credence to the whole thing. Robots in Disguise can be perceived as two girls, who have no musical training whatsoever, screaming over adolescent instrumentals - probably composed by a high school freshman who think's he's the coolest kid on the block because he knows how to operate garage band. While the group's songs can be perceived as extremely annoying racket by some, by others it's beautiful music that sounds like it's rolling off the hill of Mount Olympus. So, while the music can sound extremely bad to some folks, it sounds extremely good to other folks.
