kandodo is the solo project of UK native Simon Price who is best known a the vocalist and guitarist of the stoner rock band Heads. Named after a Malawian market, kandodo (spelled purposely with a lower-case "k") was heavily influnced by Price's childhood experiences growing up in Zambia and Malai. Price released his self-titled debut album under kandodo in 2012, exposing instrumental music with rich tones and textures that was meant to be listened to live, with headphones on or with the volume turned all the way up. The album kandodo was recorded and mixed by Simon with but his old Mac Book and a handful of instruments including his prized Fender guitars, a keyboard, a tambourine and a drum pedal.
