Deastro

Highly prolific and highly ambitious, Deastro is the moniker of Randolph Chabot, a Detroit-based singer, songwriter and producer. Chabot first began writing music under his pseudonym in high school, with hundreds of songs to his name by the age of 17. Thickly layered with emotive synths, pop hooks, chanted vocals and spacey flourishes, the music of Deastro sounds as though it was created by a full band, not one man. Though his ambition occasionally outweighs his musical ability, there is still enough earnestness in the ambition that lends the music undeniable charm.
