Kampfar is a Norwegian black metal outfit that was founded in 1994. Highly inspired by the folklore and nature of Norway, the band has earned a devout national following since the 1997 release of its debut album, Mellon Skogkledde Aaser. After a successful stint with Napalm Records throughout the 2000s, the band switched over to Indie Recordings for its sixth studio album, Djevelmakt, which was released in 2014.
