fIREHOSE is an alternative rock band from San Pedro, California that recently reunited after a nearly two decade hiatus. Formed in the Spring of 1986 by two former members of the then defunct rock band Minutemen, Mike Watt and George Hurley, fIREHOSE grew to become one of the more promising alternative/punk rock bands during the transition between the 1980s and 1990s. Before disbanding in 1994, fIREHOSE saw some great commercial success after gaining a loyal fanbase of skateboarders as a result of featuring their music on various popular skateboarding videos made during the late 1980s. The band reunited in 2012 and is looking forward to rewarding their patient fans with some of their best new and old material.
