Yip Deceiver

Initially the solo project of Athens, Georgia-based multi-instrumentalist Davey Pierce, Yip Deceiver eventually absorbed Nicolas Dobbratz of Sugar & Gold as collaborator and occasionally utilizes backing musicians from other bands and employees from the Antenna Farm label. Blending electropop with a hefty dose of cheesy synth, Yip Deceiver's music wavers between carefree nu-disco and 1980s darkwave. Formed in 2010, the band quickly received attention for its remix of the Of Montreal track "Coquette Coquette" and within a few months of formation embarked on a successful national tour.
